CALENDAR HIGHLIGHTS
SEPTEMBER
- DHARMA STUDY SERIES CLASS I: Wednesday 9/2, 7 – 9pm. This series will explore in depth an aspect of the dharma to be announced.
- FALL 3 DAY SESSHIN: Gather Friday 10/9 Sesshin 10/10-12. This is a good opportunity for a beginner to ease into the sesshin experience.
- SAMU SUNDAY: Sunday 9/6, 9am – noon. A round of zazen then 2 hours of Samu (silent work practice) ending with a closing ceremony and lunch.
- DHARMA STUDY CLASS II (ZOOM): Sunday 9/13, 9 – 11am
- ORIENTATION TO PRACTICE: Saturday 9/19, 9am – noon. See the Orientation to Practice page for details and how to register.
- ZAZENKAI: Sunday 9/20, 8:30am – 4pm. Zazenkai is a day of zazen. We start with a full sutra service followed by zazen/dokusan up to lunch. Bring your own bag lunch. The afternoon will feature a Dharma Assembly (talk followed by interaction) by a Teacher or Tanto followed by more zazen/dokusan.
- DHARMA STUDY CLASS III (ZOOM): Sunday 9/13, 9 – 11am
- QUESTION AND RESPONSE: Wednesday 9/30, 7-9pm. Three rounds of zazen and dokusan replacing the last round with a chance to bring up any questions or issues to our teachers Michael Kieran and Kathy Ratliffe.
OCTOBER

- SUMMER MEETING: Sunday 8/9, 9 – 11:30am. A period of zazen followed by a general sangha quarterly meeting.

- DHARMA TALK (ZOOM): Saturday 10/24. 9am Zazen. 9:30 Talk by one of our teachers.
- FALL SANGHA MEETING: Sunday 10/25, 9-11:30. The quarterly meeting where among other business, next years calendar will be presented for approval.
